New Addition to our Family

We spent all holidays preparing for our latest additions.......... 4 goats, 2 females and 2 males

The girls got right on out to have a look around, and yes the white one is with kid which is expected next month!

The boys on the other hand needed some gentle prodding to get out of the trailer
Eventually they all got out and went to find some greener pasture. Well there's more blackberries and gorse than grass, so I hope they're up for the challenge as they have a big job ahead of them.

Before we got the goats we spent a lot of time preparing....

Chris hired an excavator and was like a kid with a new toy.

Chris made this gate out of old trampoline and swing bars.

The other lastest edition to our clan is Mr. Rooster. He came from down the street and decided he liked our chickens and his owner said we could keep him. It's been interesting to see the change in dynamics with a man about the house.

The chickens decided they wanted the left over straw from the goats

Rohan was worried he might be sitting in goat poop but he came off unscathed.

Inside the chicken coup checking out their new nesting boxes all strawed up.

We had cashmere goats a few years ago. They had lovely personalities but were also lots of work. We hope you have great fencing because they are inquisitive and will always be interested in what is over the next fence!!! Good luck... :)
