Emily's Leavers Dinner

Its a bit magical to get dressed up in all your finery and go out for a special evening to celebrate the end of an era. High school is over!
I love in Tassie how our teens go from high school as a child to college as a young adult. College has a completely different feel to it. It s a new school with new expectations. Students no longer wear uniforms, they call teachers by their first names and they are expected to be responsible for themselves. In my observations, on the whole, they live up to the challenge and grow up in the process. Its quite an exciting phase.
So it is appropriate that we join them in farewelling the child in them and prepare for the next journey of growing up.

This is Emily's gorgeous boyfriend, Michael. They have been dating for 9 months and are really good friends. Emily bought his matching shirt in Melbourne which was too big. Emily obviously thought he was bulkier than he actually is but Michael's mum organised it to be adjusted.

Emily's long time friend Lizzie was also at the Park.

Emily also bought her dress in Melbourne. The necklace belonged to my sister in law Helen and is a vintage from the 1980's. Its funny how fashion comes back round again.

My sister Jessica was down from Melbourne and helped Emily with her hair and her makeup.

The wonderful photos are taken courtesy of our friend Lisa King
