Ten years ago on the 4th February Nev passed away. Nev is my stepfather and father figure. He became part of our family when I was 6 and Simone was 3. When I was 12 we gained Collette and then Jessica when I was 18. This means that Jessica was only 12 and Collette 18 when they lost their father. He died suddenly from a heart attack; he had just been following an exercise video and for all good intentions was fit and healthy. He was 65 years old.

We decided to go up to the cemetry and sit and share stories about life with Nev and life after Nev. Collette also had lots of questions for Mum about how they met and was he good looking? It was very hot up there and we had to move to the shade of a tree but there was a very peaceful, serene feeling. I have never gone up there to sit and contemplate, it was lovely.  |

i remember that day so vividly but i cannot for the life of me believe it was 10 years ago...how nice the family were together on such a beautiful day to reflect on the life aof a great father and man who touched a lot of lives with his generous and loving nature...
i bet he was there with you all on the 4th...
